North Carolina Teaching Licensure Reimbursement
Reimbursements are made to repay the employee for personal/out-of-pocket expenses made in order to obtain teaching licensure through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Hoke County Schools will provide licensure reimbursements for the following employees:
- Beginning Teachers working on initial licensure
- Out of state new hires seeking North Carolina licensure
Employees will be reimbursed for initial licensure fees only.
Eligible Employees will have 30 days from their license issue date to submit the following documentation for reimbursement:
- Signed “Guidelines for Teaching Licensure Reimbursement” form (this document)
- Copy of receipts for applicable licensure fees
- Copy of the license
- Copy of licensure requirement letter
- Please allow up to 1 month for processing.
- Reimbursements are made possible through a Federal Grant. When the funding for the school year is depleted, outstanding requests will be paid when the next funding allotment is received.
- The employee agrees to repay to the district in full should the employee leave Hoke County Schools before the completion of a full academic year. This amount will be deducted from the employee’s final pay check.
